PlanGrid - Blueprints on the iPad (free App)

For those into iPad's - a very interesting iPad App that has just been released @ http://www.plangrid.com/

Basic version free which allows storage (via iCloud) of up to 50 sets of plans which can be accessed 'anywhere', especially on site (!).

You can annotate plans with notes/measurements onto drawings which can then be 'instantly' made available to others. Has automatic versioning, sharing etc.

I could see it being useful for site visits/reviews/quoting for commercial maintenance or for basic design & build contractors who need multi-layer plans on site (esp given basic version is free).

Looks too good to be true .....
