Anything Maruyama since Tanaka stopped production. Personally just not a fan of Stihl and never have been.
Echo or Honda, we use both and have given years of faultless service
is it not worth mending? I've an FS130 and they're great machines though a bit heavy.
I do like the fs131 it is a bit heavy high on the vibrations apart from that its great machine wasnt sure weather to get it again or is there a upgrade out to that model
I have narrowed it down to the fs 111r and the fs131r it will mainly be used for fortnightly cuts and one of big jobs
If its not for any really heavy duty cuts, I'd recommend the fs94r. Ive the fs130r as well but the fs94 is just so much lighter and easier to use , the 130r only gets used about once a year if that. My FS94 must be a good 6 years old and despite many hours work each week, still going strong with minimal problems....... its also a fair bit quieter which is nice + a fair bit cheaper as well.
Hi i end up getting a decent deal on the fs131 couldnt knock it back not as cheap as the fs94 rce that one actually looks quite a good buy
Those 4-Mix engines certainly have a nice powerful sound to them.Mine always starts after just a few pulls even when its been standing for 6 months. I read of people complaining about having to adjust the valves.................. as you probably know, its a 10 minute job once you've done it before and rteally only needs to be done once a year at the most.
Thats the first i have heard of adjusting valves i have never had to do it on my old fs131 need to keep a eye on that now am wondering if thats how my old fs131 stopped working
4 mix need regular valve adjustments to work properly. Any decent mower repair shop can do them if you are not confident or don't have tools yourself.
