Hi Lee,
All products can be 'pet safe' if they are applied properly but manufacturers will often only specify timings after application for grazing animals: horses, etc who will actively ingest grass .
Combined weed & feeds are mostly granular so after a good shower of rain it will have washed in ok but this is not always feasible on a strict fortnightly rota
The alternative would be for separate spray products. If the pets are cats/ dogs then they can be allowed back on the treated area after the herbicide has dried.
Work-flow wise it may mean you have to do one section of the lawns at a time and keep it under scrutiny to ensure the residents pets don't stray on..?
We have Product labels and MSDS for all our products - feel free to call
