Auto-enrolment statistics

Finding a provider:

  • 46% haven't given any thought to how they'll find a provider;
  • 20% intend to use their existing provider;
  • 14% intend to seek help from their accountant.

Employee benefits:

  • 39% think offering a good quality pension will help with employee retention;
  • 31% think it will help to improve the attractiveness of the company to potential employees.

Contribution levels:

  • 7% intend to pay more than the minimum;
  • 10% are considering increased contributions over time;
  • 38% intend to pay the minimum.

Research by NOW Pensions based on responses from employers with up to 20 employees, conducted in March 2014.

    The only thing I regret about going self employed is leaving the National Trust Final Salary Pension Scheme (since frozen and a new scheme set up for employees). I have yet to find a suitable pension fund, can anyone recommend one. I am leaving my NTFSPS pot where it is. Any advice or recommendations would be useful. Thanks
