    We use Abus commercial padlocks on our Unit ( known for their quality and strength and de-rigor for motorbike security )

    ABUS padlocks for any application: Made of brass, steel, or TITALIUM™
    The ABUS padlock range comprises a variety of series, including Granit™, Diskus®, combination, brass, aluminium, and KeyGarage™.

    I basically went into a local locksmith and asked his advice for the best for the job it was doing.

    We use coded keys... I don't want someone I think I can trust wandering into a Timpsons and come out with a personal key

    My advice from previously working in a business selling top-end Chubb, Era, etc padlocks by the dozen daily is;

    Always get spare keys cut when you buy the padlock

    If what you are locking, maybe vital for you to gain access, also purchase a heavy duty 'bolt-cutter /cropper', as would be thieves are likely to apply super glue, etc to your padlock rendering it 'unopenable'

    The Chubb 1k57 Hercules padlock was a popular 'top padlock'

    If what you locking is really important, think about reinforcing the door e.g. steel plates, use hinge bolts e.g stops lifting, re-inforce the frame e.g suppress sledge hammer attacks

    Tip- Cordless tools are great e.g circular saw & angle grinder <<<be mindful
