PA1-PA6 course in ascot/Surrey area?

In the past I have always tried to do things organically where possible within my gardening and have not used Chemicals, however just recently I have thought that maybe it is time to take the plunge and open my mind "slightly"to the proper and professional use of some chemical spraying within my gardens, ( this means it is done properly by myself having been trained) rather than by clients themselves who have no awareness of the damage they do by over spraying and drift of whatever product they use. So would anyone know of a course for PA1 -PA6 in my area that runs before next season? Many thanks in advance...

Harry, is Guildford accessible for you ? If so, I can suggest two locations.

Haha, I've been to Guildford twice, both times I got lost, I can make it as far as the "Hogs back" before I start going astray lol?

PM sent.   Mmmmhh...was the Hogs Back Brewery involved :D ?

Reply sent, thank you mate, Hahahaha nothing at all to do with the Hogs Back Brewery, pure coincidence ;-)
  • I would of thought Merrist Wood is the nearest?

I have the greatest respect to those who do not apply chemical treatments but at times you don't always have much option and if trained properly you will use far less chemicals and do far less damage to Joe Bloggs or Mr / Mrs Householder whacking down a bit of roundup etc.

Thank you mate, exactly what I'm starting to think, looking at the big picture if trained I will do far less damage...

merrist wood - though not sure if open to one off. About 30mins from ascot.

We've also used land based training in arborfiled, again about 30mins from ascot.

Berkshire College of Agriculture - surprise surprise, about 30mins from Ascot.

30 mins is fine, however I would have had to have had a think about logistics if the closet courses were 2 hours away...

One off ? Not sure what you mean ?

The MW short courses can be taken one-off/on demand and are open to all.

However, although run at MW they use independant Trainers and Assessors...so it depends who you get :)

We've got one running in Kent in November & Southampton in Decemeber but that's probably too far for you.......

Cheers Gary, I'm going to speak to John T's first, see if they have something on the cards, if not then going to try Merrist Wood, but hoping on John T's got something Going ....:-)
