New kid on the block ? Toro ProStrip 560 ?

Interesting recent annocument from Toro;

  • Commercial-grade Kawasaki FJ180V KAI 4-cycle engine features a dual element cylindrical air-cleaner, cast iron cylinder liner, heavy duty recoil, and uprated top crank-bearing
  • Achieve that perfect cut and striped finish with the airflow fins, two-piece ribbed roller, and MatchCut™ technology
  • Zero-turn maneuverability with split rear roller helps eliminate turf damage on tight turns
  • Heavy duty cast aluminium deck and reinforced handlebar make the ProStripe tough, without weighing it down
  • Multi-speed traction gearbox for matching operator speed and specific turf conditions
  • Reduce downtime and restarts with the 2.82 cubic foot high capacity grassbag and Blade Brake Clutch transmission system
  • Built for tough commercial conditions, the cast aluminium deck and Kawasaki engine provide peace of mind.
  • Sports fields and fine turf applications – even residential gardens are no match for this high quality, versatile machine.

Where does this leave Hayter's range (as Toro own Hayter ;) ?

Could be very good.I notice it's quite a bit heavier than the new Hayter equivalent but they're going down the road of a 3 year warranty on this Toro.

    • PRO

Only 3 year Domestic, standard 1 year for commercial

  • Looks nice. Seems very similar to the Weibang Legacy Pro

  • PRO

This is their version of the Hayter 56 pro, and from what I saw at either BTME or Saltex, when I compared, it's superior. Everything looked and felt more robust, as did their sensible selection beefing up of components beyond the Hayter.

  • PRO

Seems like a "what if" of if they made the hayer 56 as good as they could (within reason)

    • PRO

      A ‘Carlsberg’ moment ? :)

  • do you know what the price is ?

    • PRO

      RRP ~ £1650 inc Vat

      • That's ridiculous. ( but thanks for the info!)

        • PRO

          Why is it ridiculous ?
