Needs advice on getting commercial contracts.

Hi all, I am new here. Started my gardening business as domestic gardener a few years ago and doing very well at the moment. Looking into extending my business, invest some money, create some work places for local people and do some commercial contracting. Started researching this myself, but if anyone here could give me any advise, where and how to start, whats the best way to get commercial contracts, would be much appreciated. Thanks a lotRamunas

  • Judging by your about page, you appear to already have commercial contracts?

Try searching the forums as this subject comes up quite a bit.  If you can't find what you are looking for or require a particular question answered, fire away.

  • Thanks Graeme. Stated my question incorrectly. I am looking for advice how to find the way to commercial customers, commercial contracts, all commercial jobs I am doing no, I have via recommendations, via current customers. As I said if looking to create another part of my business to cover commercial sector only. I have to find the way to promote it, to reach commercial clients myself.
  • Do search the forum discussions as this has been covered,  however if you have successfully built a commercial client base from referrals then keep asking for more.  Nothing is better than being recommended (residential or commercial).

Just one suggestion off the top of my head, consider having a different web site for commercial clients only and tailor this to the type of businesses you want to service such as business parks, HA's, Schools, Hotels etc..

Referrals are definitely the best way forward :)
