Etesia Pro46 - with the Kawasaki Engine. Loads of power, excellent mulching if you require, 18" cut and they last for years....but eye wateringly expensive when compared to an Izy, but in a different league
Izy's are brilliant for what they are, get another one???
My Honda Izzy is also 4 seasons old too and it's the wheels that are going. Not helped by lugging them up a flight of steps for 3 Gardens in a row. I am more than likely going to get another Honda or possibly the Hayter Spirit? The engine and chassis on my Izzy is in first class order; it's just the rear wheels playing up. Hope it will last the season though....
Is it just the wheels? I've changed mine a few times.
I would get another izzy 4 years is good value .
A friend bought a reconditioned izzy which was three years old and now its nine years old and used for business and faultless .
Sometimes though we just fancy a change
From experience I know when Hondas fall apart they do fall apart ,12 years was the most i got out of a Honda which had a hard life .
I just took delivery of my new Honda Izy mower which is just as well as the old Izy height adjuster on the rear kept slipping out thus scalping the lawn I mowed this morning. Sold the old mower within an hour on FB Marketplace. Job's done!
Well I used the new Honda this afternoon. It's a lot lighter and I think a bit smaller. Cuts well though but not sure on the build quality yet. It's light enough to lift the mower and walk up the steps though. Time will tell if it is a good buy.
Take a wheel off and see if it has bearings or a plastic bush. I wonder if they have gone back to bearings instead of penny pinching on parts...
Thanks for the reply's
The problem we find is wheels, cables and now the decks have cracked.
