Neat iPhone Weather App

This iOS WeatherApp came recommended: Home & Dry ;so having looked at it further I decided to purchase it (.... it has 5 star feedback) @ £1.49

It displays various categories of 'weather' via animation and screen (hence, location) can be sized to suit for more or less detail.

Neat.

  • Sorry to say, this is free and the information on your app comes from the company that created this site....

Absolutely, but this a dedicated App on a mobile device rather than viewing via a mobile browser. 90% of data used by weather apps comes at source from the Met office.

It also has some superior display options & ease of use not available on the Met office site.

You pay's your money and takes your choice :-)

Have you tried out the App? it's neat..

  • I haven't tried it, to be honest, for the one and only reason, I'm too damn tight! (I've never paid for an app yet!) the met office also offer a weather app. Free one has ads. I think it comes down to what is familiar.

I've used a lot of Apps, some free and some paid due to our work. It's down to what you require and the quality & presentation of the info you want. Just compare the graphics and details.

We pay for met office based ice warnings apps for legal/contractual reasons as we do commercial gritting, so when I see soemthing neat that is easy to use and effective i tend to go for it.
