Nearly three quarters of British gardening customers turn to the web for advice

"Online gardening advice has become popular since the turn of the decade, with blogs and forums allowing people to follow others as they transform their gardens, share ideas and advice, and get their questions answered instantly. There are even online gardening courses now available on the internet.

"Bakker Spalding Garden Company gardening expert Gareth Richards said: "These results are a clear indication of how things have changed in the UK, certainly over the last decade. Many of us remember an abundance of gardening shows that occupied our screens just a few years ago. But as these have diminished, a new generation of gardeners – both expert and beginner - has started to turn to online blogs and forums, and even YouTube, for the latest information and tips."
