Mulching blades are generally not designed to collect, they have a different profile with no lift wing. I had a Viking years ago that ran as a dedicated mulcher with from memory a kind of 'fanged' blade for mulching (which it was extremely good at!), Needed to change the blade if you wanted to collect, so odds are that's your problem!
thanks for that, I'll get one ordered.
As Adam has mentioned the mulching blade is 2 blades stuck on top of each other like a fang....I currently use one now when mulching complete with the mulch plug...tried to collect with it and does not work...you'll be fine when you get a standard blade...
thanks for that, I'll get one ordered
right, so i took the mower to my mate who fixes them for me, the height mechanism was broke, so got him to look at it, i mentioned the blades to him, turns out the mulching blades are on the wrong way, turning anti clockwise, he said he would put them on the right way and try it, but as its not needed for a mulcher, i just told him to order a new blade and put it on.
this mower was bought off ebay, from a person who repairs and does up mowers LMFAO!
the story he told me was he bought it to cut a cricket field then serviced it and its " ready to go " which i thought was a load of bollocks!
anyway hopefully, this mowers goimg to turn good once my mechanic has fixed yhe issues and speeds it up a touch.
mower back, new blade on, filled box to the brim! happy days!
