Have you used a breaker bar or an impact wrench?
Big lump of wood jamming the blade and a breaker bar.
try nipping it tighter then undoing when you finaley get it off put some copper slip or grease on the threds befor putting it back on
Are you turning them the right way? Will be left hand thread most likely
Thanks for the suggestions. I dont have an impact wrench but I'll try the wood and bar tomorrow.
Lots of heat with a blow torch combined with a breaking bar then which it with a hammer under load as before would be my next option. Failing that grind it off and re tap it but that's a real bitch.
