Mower

Hi all

Steve here from s b s gardening

I am looking at a mulching and bagging mower combined for next season as I have a few contracts which require both

I'm thinking the honda hrx 537 but am told this isn't a commercial mower?

I do roughly 40 lawns per fortnight so require it to last as my last cobra mower is ready for the skip

Cheers for the help people.

        • Hi Charlie,

Does the box stay on with the mulch plug?

          Sorry to hijack the thread!

            • I'm very tempted looking at that mower

              Love the hondas though

            • I thought that would be the case. Thank you

I rate the HRX 537 very highly and have used them on commercial and domestic work for a number of years. The mulch facility is very useful, especially at this time of year when there's often more leaves than grass to cut. If it's just you using the machine and you are careful then you should get 4 - 5 years out of one before anything major goes wrong. I've always preffered the VY version over the HY. The weakest points are the front wheels which soon start to get a wobble on after a few bumps and knocks but overall, great machine. Good luck.

    • Thanks Steve

I really do want this mower

Whats the difference with the vy versions?

Interesting stuff! I'm looking at getting one of those in spring to replace my old al-ko four wheeler (9years old and the decks spliting). One of my customer's got a hrx537, nice machine! Perfect for when the grounds softer rather than using my Honda roller.

  • We have used Honda HRX537 for years and wouldn't use any other.
