Mower

Hi, we currently have a Weibang Asd but finding it’s not as good as what people said about collecting grass in the wet. Seems to clog up on way to grass box anyone else find this and has anyone got experience with Toro mowers, we always used toro machines while Greenkeeping so wondering what the rotary mowers are like?

Thanks

The Toro turfmasters are pathetic baggers even in the dry in my opinion, dont know about the others in the range.

  • Which weibang is it guys? My 48PRO BBC ain't bad in the wet, but for me, the 48PRO non-BBC was better. Have to say though, both are better than the Honda I used to use.

    • Hi Tony, it’s the Weibang 53. It cuts well in the wet but just clogs as doesn’t seem to be able to throw it in to the bag. Any others on the market that are decent?

      • Got the 48 Pro and the dealer upped the revs to get a better throw, might be worth asking for yours ?

  • I have the Weibang Legacy 56pro, I find it to be great in the wet, both in terms of finish and pick-up!!

    • Cheers Neil, does the roller make it a lot heavier?

      • Hi Ross/Alan, to be honest I have got used to the weight.....just looking at the specs, the 56 Legacy is only 7kg heavier than the 53 virtue - add to that the ease of turning etc compared to 4 wheeled machine - then I think you would be splitting hairs between the two! I find that the weibang roller, combined with our Viking MB4rtp mulcher covers the needs of all our medium to larger domestic gardens....

        • Cheers Neil appreciate that. Yeah the turning must be so much better especially around trees etc. Will look into this and demo the 56 cheers.

  • The weibang pro bbc is poor at wet collection, and average in the dry. The blade has hardly any lift and doesn't create an air stream at all. Word is hi lift blades are on the way.

I have a kaaz roller, upped the revs, hi lift blade, and it packs the bag every run wet or dry
