Moss removal timing

I have been asked to moss-kill a driveway. I intend to use MMC Pro, but when can I start to use it for it to be effective? Does time of year matter with moss in the same way as it does for weeds?

 

And while we're on the subject of killing stuff, I've also been asked to spray a large area of gravel. I'm going to use Roundup Biactive, and the client wants it done now. I've explained that March is the earliest, but they're insisting. Is there anyway round this (apart from spraying now, then saying "I told you so" and doing it again in March - thereby wasting time and money?) It's a huge drive and I'll still be there in mid-summer if I have to do it by hand...
