  • Hi everyone just read this really interesting article as I have Parkinson's syndrome which was diagnosed 10 years ago and i am convinced it was through the use of weed killers which i used on a regular basis when I was only 19-20 years old. I worked for my local council and was the only female there hence no toilet facilities where provided and i was not able to wash my hands. the whole health and saftey practice was non existent . That was back I the late eighties early nineties since then I have been running muddy Wellies with my husband for over 21 years but unfortunately I am becoming more and more immobile and may have to give up the job I love, the irony is the job I loved has robbed me of my health. Be interested to know if anyone else has similar health issues.

I've just received this from Change.org.

    "Philip,

    Roughly translated, it says:

    Philip,

Highly toxic free service. This is what Castorama offers to its customers, gardeners, selling Roundup on its shelves.

This product is implicated in cases of cancer and reproductive disorders. It was after one of these scientific studies have proven its toxicity that our collective was formed to tell the manufacturers and distributors of the product "Roundup, no thank you".

Today, we decided to heckle Castorama DIY leader in France, on its responsibility in the sale of this dangerous product. We have launched a petition on Change.org asking the group to no longer sell Roundup in its rays.

Click here to sign our petition and say "Roundup, no thank you!"

Castorama has already committed to provide its clients offer an environmentally friendly alternative to all the rays of the brand by signing a partnership with the WWF. We must ask the brand to go further.

We will meet in the coming days officials Castorama to give them our petition. So we have a few days to gather thousands of signatures to show that customers and citizens call them to act without delay to Castorama responsible brand and an example for other players DIY France.
