I am currently using my iphone to take photos to document my work.

Sometimes I like to show customers the work or a particular plant. But the phone screen is so small.

So, was thinking of getting a bigger screen phone or one of those ipad thingies.

I just read up on jobber and if that could be compatible with an ipad thingy that would be awesome for me.

What do you use? Which model and why?

Save some pennies and get an Apple TV ( £50?) - plug that into your clients Telly and interface from iPhone _ job done.

    • Hmmm, never heard of this. I try not to venture into customers homes, except for the loo.

I would not feel comfortable mucking about with their TV set up.

We have a mini fleet of 3G iPads which we use jobber on (through a web browser).

Works well for us - plus the batteries tend to last around a week on a full charge which is also handy.
  • I have a 4G iPad Air that goes to jobs with me, cost £360 and slides into my clipboard :)
  • Those Ipads are quite pricey. What about Android pads?

We use iPads as they are easy for the staff to use - they just work.

Ours cost in the region of £100 to purchase and then about £25 plus vat per month for each one on 2 yr contracts with 3 (15 gb data which is more then enough)

Plus we can also use apps across the same account on all the iPads for measuring up etc. as well as the ability to to track via the 'find my iPhone' app.
        • Now that sounds interesting. I always whatsup my location to my family so they know where I am.

But I would not want to be on a contract.

          • I got mine as part of my phone contract with EE, £120 for the year unlimited 4G and £240 for the device, the minis on the same contract were £120. Well worth it imo

iPad mini on a 3 year deal with 3. Makes life much easier for that sort of thing. Also if I get spare time when I'm out I can look at invoices and get ahead
