Marshalls on road to another special dividend

Marshalls, the construction supplies business which makes paving and stone products, has hinted at another special dividend as it posted strong half year figures. Revenue edged up 2pc to £292.4m while pre-tax profit was 21pc higher as the company found efficiencies. This combined with debt reduction allowed the FTSE250 company to boost the interim dividend by 29pc to 2.9p
