Making Tax Digital for VAT - HMRC Support

Since April 2019, VAT-registered businesses with a turnover above the VAT threshold must keep VAT records digitally and send returns using Making Tax Digital (MTD) compatible software.

From April‌‌ ‌2022, these requirements will apply to all VAT-registered businesses, including those with a turnover below the VAT threshold.

    We file ours with Quickbooks. Bookeeper process all payments kin / out and matches receipts and I file the return. Takes just a few minutes

    Adrian, the post was to alert small businesses who are VAT registered, but below the threashold that this deadline is coming.

    Nick, we do the same and don't need our Accountants - just submit direct via our Accounts system to HMRC and DD does the rest.
