Magic Numbers

Do you ever think about the numbers in the price you are giving for a quote / estimate?

If you price two identical items at £20 and £19.99, the £19.99 one will sell a lot faster.
But if you put a label on the £20 item to say the this item is made of superior xxx and lasts twice as long. Then the £20 item will outsell the £19.99 item because people believe they are buying superior quality.

You may have know that, but I bet you don't know that if you had priced one item at £27, and the other at 19.99, the £27 item will win.

Also if you have a sales figure that ends with a 3, like £13 etc, then sales of that item will drop of the scale.

There is scarcely anything in this world that someone cannot make a little worse and sell more cheaply. The person who buys on price alone is this man's lawful prey.
