Lumag Rambo chipper

Hi all, does anyone own, or have any experience with a Lumag Rambo HC15 chipper? I'm come to the conclusion that a machine like this would really help out with waste disposal for my situation . I like the look of the Jansen GTS1500, but it's a bit over my budget. The machine will be mostly used for hedge cutting, shrub pruning/reduction etc. I rarely deal with anything over 3 or 4", and if I do I keep that for my log burner.

Any opinions welcome.

Other than "do you really need a chipper?".

Thanks.

The youtube reviews for the HC10 seem very positive I imagine the HC15 is an upgrade .

Its made in Germany , A good price and a sensible design for a small chipper with the hinged door to help unblock it without having to take the thing apart .

It comes back to that old chestnut with a small chipper consider prep / feed time + removal or distribution of mulch Versus taking brash to tip .

On a big site or big garden you probably have composting facilities anyway but could come into its own if you do alot of hedge reductions or hedging its a great facility to offer a customer .

Hi i bought the hc10 which easily chips 4" so should work for you. I charge it to customers just like i would waste removal and they get weed mulch rather than buying it in. also its cheap so needs less than 10 days hire to pay for itself and doesnt need picking up and dropping off. its handy for my garden too.

    • Allan, bit late to the party on this ! As your original post was 2020, but after 3 years thought you'd have plenty of opinions on the HC 10. Appreciate it's a budget machine,  we run Forst tracked chippers primarily and I can't compare the two but we're looking for a small light portable chipper/ shredder  on a small budget for those jobs that don't justify a Forst. Particularly interested in reliability, how it handles leafy waste and how easy to unblock and your general experience.  Thanks.

  • I have to be honest and say I have not heard of them but a quick look on YT does suggests it will do a good job and at a reasonable price too. I await on others for thier views as this could be a possibility for me too.
