Low Height Water Butt

I need to fit guttering and a water butt to the roof of a wood store, height of the roof tiles from the ground is only 1.14M. Could someone please suggest a place I can purchase a squat water butt / tank from. The problem I have is as the filling taps are very low down on most water butts, once the unit has been raised in order to fit a watering can underneath the height is too great to allow decent filling from the guttering & downpipe.

Thanks in advance.

  • Just use a domestic cold water tank.... the type people have in their lofts. There's all sorts of sizes and shapes though its going to be more pricey than a water butt. You'll have to drill a hole for the tap but that's pretty straightforward. You can even join 2 up next to each other for extra capacity if needed.
