Hello. I've been asked to supply and plant a small ornamental Cherry tree in the middle of a small graveled area at the front of someone's house. They want a weeping, pink-flowering tree which won't grow too big and they have asked if I can find a fairly mature specimen so that they "don't have to wait for 10 years before it looks really good."
I'm thinking of a Prunus Pendula Rubra as it seems to tick the boxes for size and growth habit. I don't know of any really good tree suppliers in my area (NE England) and having looked online most of the available specimens seem to be relatively young and still spindly. I said I would try to find a more mature specimen but did note that if they are available they are likely to cost a pretty penny.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a supplier? I'm happy to shop online if the supplier is good and I'm also aware that finding a more mature specimen might not be an option. I'm happy to consider other options as well as long as it is a weeping type.
Thanks.

round my neck of the woods it would be east Keswick plant center or thorp trees at cattle but a bit far from your abode (not very helpful)
Thornhayes looks interesting. If I get to Devon I might pop in for a look around.
Thorp website is under maintenance just now.
I think I need somewhere that can deliver as well.
Thanks! I'll get in touch with Thornhayes and Coles tomorrow.
