The Echo is longer than the Stihl, we run Echo PB770 and 8010 blowers. Have you looked at the Echo HCAS 266 ES ? They are a semi long reach with multi angle head , we have 2 and hardly have to use a true long reach, highly adaptable even for low topiary . Just fantastic reliable nice to use machines , the blade quality is superb staying sharp even after chewing through stuff that should be cut with loppers, gone off the subject a bit but we will only buy Echo if that's the answer to the question.
Thanks Peter, I'm going to go to a local dealer and have a look at the echo machines.
Tbh,I cant see past the stihl hl 94,partly due to the abuse I know from experience it can take.More pertinately perhaps, I'm not aware of any other comparable competitor that gives you a working blade length of 60 cms?
I did have a look at the echo but decided to go with what I know and as you say the 60cm blades are a good plus and I think I would notice the difference not having that.
