LJN Ireland social meet-up this Autumn?

I am acutely aware that over the last two years of the LJN meet-up Tour that Ireland have been completely ignored and left out.

It's very important to me that all LJN members should feel included and have the same opportunities to meet and share etc.

During this year's Tour I (informally) discussed with a number of LJN members that we should try and arrange a visit to Ireland to meet with our colleagues there.

Because of the nature of international travel we would be talking of at least one night stopover (this also will depend on flight availability too).

I'm not just thinking of the male members of LJN either. Although the turnout of female LJN members on the Tour was low, those who attended seemed to enjoy getting involved.

Perhaps we could visit Dublin?

  • Sounds like a great idea, for many it would have to be in the low season though, perhaps Those in Ireland could recommend a good time, I personally would be up for going with enough notice.

Hi Phil, I would be up for attending a LNJ Ireland meet-up. Dublin suits fine, as it is handy enough driving down or jumping on the express bus.

I'm wondering why Dublin, i thought all the regulars where based North of the border?

    "I'm wondering why Dublin"

Only because I've never been there Robbie:-0))

Happy to go with the consensus.

  • I would imagine that belfast could easily be arranged but dublin is that bit extra effort and cost for all of us northerners so likely to have fewer attendees

    I'm cool with Belfast

There's still plenty of time. See how many others are up for it first and we can hone the plan for nearer the date.
