It's so easy not to do anything and I continually make sure the guys are using suitable ear defenders etc.
We replace them regularly as they get sweaty, messy and damaged and don't need to cost the earth (actually, Screwfix often have good deals we have found, so easy to get).
Personally, its where I see the benefits of 4mix / 4 stroke engines (esp on Strimmers & back packs but would like to see a 4mix hand held - I know Makita & Honda do them). The noise is less direct and tiring, but even then can still cause hearing damage.
Be great to see Pellenc et al become more mainstream and less expensive ....hint hint :)
