  • I thought it would be an easier and quicker option, With an extra box at the end of a post, set up exactly as facebook has their like button system.

I think it would be an over complication and possibly a distraction, why not just copy the text and write 'agree' or similar.
  • You're just trying to 'facebook'-ise an otherwise professional forum!
  • Well, Jenson is okay but Lewis is the more exciting driver.
  • A comment like this requires a 'like' button, Nothing realy to comment on but makes you laugh or you just like it!

He should consider Hansons as a sponsor - most races he's in the gravel trap.

  • Myself and quite a few mates, mainly women have poke wars, (Remember my age 22) but it seems to be a thing you do to the opposite sex not to your own, there are written rules to poke wars.
That is a facebook thing though!

    Back to thread -

I suppose there are two ways of looking at your proposal Kieran

    1. Dumbing down - possibly giving an easy way out to contributing to a thread without committing any text or positive comments ( as you like).

    2. Gentle encouragement - anyone new to the site or possibly nervous about contributing to discussions could get a "foot hold" with clicking the "Like" button. An almost anonymous contribution with no fear of retort.

I'd prefer to know why someone likes something and not just that they do....but if your idea encourages more traffic and increased involvement then why not.

On facebook you can Poke someone - what does this mean?
  • LOL! I guess its dead then when you poke it!

Poke Wars Kieran? I'm familiar with Star Wars...I'm not going to ask why you only do it to women ,,,enough said.

God I'm getting old - if I poke something I use a stick!
