Light cordless mower

Does anyone have any recommendations for a lightish cordless battery mower I can carry up steps. I have ego equipment but the smallest mower they do is still 22kg and I've noticed some are around 15kg. Are these small light ones worth it?

Thanks James

  • Bosch 43Li for me (the later shape syneon chip type) I use them all the time. I think Bosch have stopped making them now which is a shame as I think the folding handles on the new models will give trouble and the new style collapsible grassbox is not my favourite

a battered well used one, i rip the battery slot cover off for even faster battery change. Lift on and off the truck with 1 hand and can literally hit the ground running

        • some of the batteries I use some are several years old but still working fine. Usually get 2 granny type lawns at least out of 1 battery but I don't run them to empty

          • Thanks, just had a look and can't see any available anymore although I see some 32LI available. Is that the same model just smaller width?

            • yes the cutting width on the 32Li is microscopic. I had a 37Li which is the in between size and found even that one that was just too titchy for doing jobs with. The replacement model is called something like the Advanced Rotak 750 Li (make sure you are looking at the battery not mains model as they appear very similar) I bought one and liked it for a start but ended up going back to the 43Li. Also search up 430Li as that is the same as the 43Li

Swift cordless 32 cm cuts size of a tennis court on one charge .

Swift u.k they do two larger machines but i have the 32 cm model very light , mulches and collects not had a single problem with it . very light , very handy in places where a heavier mower would sink .

The customer service is excellent . I also bought a cordless blower and hedge trimmer of the same make again no problems and very efficient .

  • We've just added the Stihl RMA 235 to our fleet for this very reason. It's only 14kg and has very good collection due to the plastic box and decent lift blade. So far for us it's been grand, but we have only been using it this season so cannot comment on longevity as yet.

  • Thanks for the replies, the areas are only small so I can probably get away with the small ones. I'll do a bit more research/prices on the models mentioned.
