    But more than half of surveyors will spot it, and scupper a house sale! Crazy, as it's treatable...

    Gardeners = anybody who gardens,  ...the article was not referring to those who make a living at it.

    And what does this remark in the article actually mean?  "The usual method for removing knotweed is with a strong glyphosate-based weedkiller. Mr Guy advised gardeners to obtain the Environment Agency's approval before applying any chemicals,"
