Is it bird damage or grubs eating roots?
Are you sure it's not Chafer grub damage?
If it's crane fly, don't do anything as they will be coming out of the ground soon.....
If it's chafer, get a lawn company to treat ASAP......
They've killed all of the grass (bar a few small spots) which has turned black and now decaying / rotting.
Damage is from the grubs eating the roots - no real signs of bird pulling at ground
The turf peels back easily and they are brown grub rather than the white of the chafer
If its crane and they'll be out soon - will they come back?
