Lol...it doesn't sound like it's the leaf blower that's the problem:-))
There is a technique to leaf blowing, Ive watched many a new start try and fail miserably :-)
But what works?
One way that works for us is blowing debris into natural 'holding' areas. Right angled fences & walls are great, as is using two road stakes to secure a builders bag on its side to blow straight into.
Stuff that doesn't go straight into a bag can be swiftly gathered up with a 65lt pot and roaming builders bag.
Any other tricks amongst Juicers?
Cheers, Eugene
i'm with you - herb them into a corner where they can't escape.
word of advice, never try cleaning the inside of your van out with a backpack leaf blower - it's spectacular but makes the mess worse.
Stuart....thank you for the huge laugh just erupted here when I read your thoughts on leaf blower and applying it to back of van/truck. Cartoon time :->
One trick that's old but worth mentioning is to go easy on the blower - short and swift blows when bringing a pile together in a right angled area saves the leaves getting blown up too far and exiting the garden into neighbours' areas.
That written - there are a couple of gardens where opening a gate into a paddock or similar is a fabulous way of saying bye bye to Nature's deposit at this time of year :->
I like the last line. does no one ever use a broom these days. Leaf blowers have their place but you cant beat a large stiff bass broom!
Once you realise that a mower = a hoover, and certain shrub beds and borders = sinks for organic matter then a whole world of clean gardens opens up!
