lawnflite garden tractor

Has anyone any experience of a lawnflite garden tractor jamming in a gear? Mine goes forward and backwards but wont go up and down the gears. I've taken the control off the tractor to see if it was seized but its free. I think its stuck in second gear. Useable but slow. I need it at the moment for picking up leaves but if anyone has had this problem I'd be grateful for any information.
