Latest phishing email for landscapers...doh

More FYI, than anything else, but obvious by lack of salutation and strained grammar etc:

"I intend to embark on a landscapers project and I would appreciate your participation in the development and completion of

this project, We have finances in place currently engaged with structural engineers and an extension on the project to

complete a full specification package for the project that is to undergo complete rebuild.

After going through several series I found your firm competent and reliable enough going by what I got from your company

website and I would like to consider you for the project, I have all the plans and blueprint and I'd like to send it

through for a quotation.

Please kindly get back to me if you are interested and I will also like you to forward your contact details.

Kind  Regards"

  • Ive been getting a few very non descript emails asking if I'm intrested in landscaping and landscape maintence for them. Normal clients would give me a breif description of what they are looking for and where in the country they are but theese emails just ask you to download a large ''project file''! Beware people

  • yo are very unlikley to want use of a  structural engineer in land scaping this would set the alarm bells ringing for me

  • Had a few of these but more recently I've been getting ones which attempt to entice you in by using a known client contact name as the sender and then the subject field will make reference to an unpaid invoice or something along those lines.

Anyone else had this and how would someone have access to my contacts?

  • Yes i keep getting these asking me to download file to see plans and spec, very frustrating as some appear to come from genuine clients, and they have been arriveing in my work email box which is surpriseing as i try to only give this email out to trusted clients etc, must have been leaked somewhere online ?

  • Here is an email coversation below that i had with one back in March, you will see it appears to come from a genuine client, they replied with a dropbox link that i did not open but replied back asking for more detail and thier phone number so i could call and speak direct, they did not bother replying after that, beware of these emails, dont open thier links and if unsure ask for more info

I have removed the email addreses because i think it was sent via a genuine clients hacked email address
