Jacksons have a depot there I think. That would sort the gravel.

Lots of little suppliers as well as the usual Travis, Buildbase, etc. Andrews Building Supplies in Fengate is ok - there is a Wickes there too that does fencing, sand, gravel, etc.

Turf: LC turf - just outside Peterborough are ok - grow their own: LINK

Fencing: AVS Fencing - again in Fengate - excellent place for wood, fencing.

Gravel: sand, etc - Welland Valley in Stamford will deliver small loads: LINK or the big boys have ton bags ready to go...

If you need over 3-4 tons of sand or gravel - try Rose skips or Bullimores - both do skips and sand/ gravel delivery too.

Agree - I've Used LC Turf a few times. Not Rolawn standard but a fairly good all round turf. Good price as well and would deliver to peterborough as they are based just outside in elton.

Thory (formerly owned and run by a firm called PGR) run a site just outside Oundle which is 15 mins ish away from peterborough for drive in and collect aggregates and topsoil. also i think you can tip hardcore there for free. I know you use to be able to anyhow. Ive used these for many years and they are fairly reasonable.
