Just once in a while

Something happens that brings a glow to my heart and makes all the hard work I do voluntarily worth while.One pleasure is interviewing perspective tenants and deciding on who will live on the estate. Normally we get three nominations but two we were supposed to be interviewing yesterday pulled out.The third was a wonderful elderly gentleman who without doubt would be a great asset to our community.As the panel was more than happy to offer him the flat I had the privelage telling him at the end of the interview - normally they are not told until the following day.The gentelman was delighted and it showed :DAs we finished the paperwork he continued to sit there, I assumed to take it all in. Until I eventually realised I had not actually told him the interview was over and he was free to leave.
