Jura Limestone fossil

I was just walking through our factory and came across this fantastic fossil in a slab of Jura Limestone which the guys were about to start cutting. Isn't it beautiful? This is one of my very favourite stones purely because it carries so much character and this is a great example.

  • You should cut it out and use it as a paperweight, also wonder what it would look like polished?

  • Good thinking, Simon! The Jura polishes really well, it brings out the colour just a little bit more. Unfortunately it also makes it far too slippery for exterior paving or steps.
