John Deere C52ks

Hi , just after some general advice on a rough cut mower please.  I'm interested in purchasing a John Deere c52ks with new Subaru engine or something similar in size (not scag size) to tackle rough grounds, potentially up to knee height grass. Any one have any experience of this machine, does it perform well? or can you suggest an alternative?  Thanks in advance, Ollie
