JCB Micro digger plus

hi lads,
we just got a new JCB micro plus (1.3)i did a bit of research and realized people didn't like the JCB but at the same time didn't know its 18hp compared to other same size (door way) machines of only 12hp , i had one for the bones of 10 years with out a days trouble it was how ever €1000 more expensive than other door way digger,just a little tip of for any body thinking for buying i digger for back garden use and like moving huge rocks and 4 sleepers in one go :)

  • I have an older (2003) micro+ basically the same machine. A bit more tail swing than some others but easily a match for digging power when root pulling for example. Not so smooth to drive as a Kubota or Takeuchi though. Similarly very little to complain about reliability with its little Perkins 3cyl engine.

  • 18 hp ? isnt the Kubota 3cylinder diesel engine 36hp?

    ahh its just over 10hp - same engine on mower is 36 i think as i have both.

  • ive got a takeucho tb108 power is around 10ph but machines work off of hydraulic force so the extra 8 hp only gives a marginal difference in digging power the biggest difference will be the machinces longer reach and digging depth
