I have an older (2003) micro+ basically the same machine. A bit more tail swing than some others but easily a match for digging power when root pulling for example. Not so smooth to drive as a Kubota or Takeuchi though. Similarly very little to complain about reliability with its little Perkins 3cyl engine.
18 hp ? isnt the Kubota 3cylinder diesel engine 36hp?
ahh its just over 10hp - same engine on mower is 36 i think as i have both.

ive got a takeucho tb108 power is around 10ph but machines work off of hydraulic force so the extra 8 hp only gives a marginal difference in digging power the biggest difference will be the machinces longer reach and digging depth
