Hi everyone,
I've been lurking on Landscape juice for a while now but thought it was high time I made an account and started to contribute to the forum. I'm new to the industry, having just finished a 2 year level 3 course in Horticulture of which throughout I've been using landscape juice and its members pages to help me through the many assignments.
Looking to start out in Landscape and Design and created my first show garden at Gardeners world live which got a Silver Gilt Medal (I'll attach a few pictures), also would most likely be taking up a bit of maintenance for some regular work to keep the pennies rolling in.
The general feel that I got while reading through the threads here is that the advice and knowledge present is generally to a very high standard and has been very helpful for myself in starting out my new career, I'm sure I will be making plenty more threads asking for the generous donation of experience and knowledge if i get in a tricky situation.
I'm also keen to hear about how some of you guys first started out, and if you got the chance to go back and give yourself one piece of advice what it would be?

Welcome to LJN Ben and thanks for joining us.
It's lovely to hear that LJN has played its part in your career and I hope it continues to do so.
Well done on your Gardeners World Live garden and thanks for sharing with us.
Would you believe that when I started work at 16 I actually used one of those wooden wheelbarrows:)
Ben, well done on the award and lovely looking natural 'garden'.
LJN is a great place to be. Don't be afraid of asking for help/advice on here.
One thing for sure, you will never lack answers or responses and the LJN collective do not sugar coat their answers. You'll hear like it is :-)
You quickly find out there is more than way to achieve a solution and most on here will have covered it somewhere, somehow in their working lives.
The existing Threads are a gold mine of information (like you have probably found out).
Ultimately, LJN is what you make it. Contribute well and professionally and you'll enjoy the environment.
I simply wish LJN had been around when I started out and was at College :-)
