Institute of Horticulture launches CPD training events

[PRESS RELEASE] Institute of Horticulture launches CPD training events The Institute of Horticulture is launching its Management and Leadership training programme with a ‘taster’ session for professional horticulturists and designers on Saturday 6 February 2010 at Capel Manor College Regent’s Park Centre, London, NW1 4NR. The session on Saturday 6 February will focus on Leading and Managing Projects and Contracts, and will include Managing Projects and Contracts (including Business Planning), Budget Management and Meeting Customer Needs. The session is roughly Level 3 (A Level) standard. The session will be practically based, using tutor input and group discussion to highlight the key issues, drawing on participants experience and interests. The session will be led by Beryl Little, an independent consultant working in the public, voluntary and private sectors, with considerable horticulture and senior management experience. More events and progression opportunities are planned for later in 2010. Cost: £20 students £50 IoH members, £70 non-members to include lunch and refreshments.
