Amenity Forum Conference - October 16th 2014

The Amenity Forum conference has now gone 'premier league' with it being held at the newly promoted home of Leicester City Football Club......Even if you can't face supporting the team it is still worth considering supporting the event. 

Speakers will address topical and hot issues such as policy changes, integrated control, international, water, problem weeds and more.

  • One of the speakers in 2014 will be from Holland providing insight into pesticide regulations in Denmark and how they are being met.

  • Ruth Mann from STRI will examine how integrated control can work in practice and Ian Edser, from Amey PLC, will consider environmental issues and a sustainable approach to weed, pest and disease control.

  • David Wain, from Sheffield Streets Ahead Highways Client team, will provide a case study of their approach and their responsibility includes an important network of major roads and highways.

  • Mike Clough, Chairman of the Invasive Non-Native Specialists Association, will look at the challenges involved in the control of problem weeds.

  • On policy issues, Grant Stark and Adrian Dixon, from the Chemicals Regulations Directorate, will update delegates and there will be a presentation on a recent Amenity Survey undertaken and its implications.

  • The conference also will host a debate entitled Pesticides and Water with panellists including representation from a utility company, catchment group and the Environment Agency.

For bookings before September 1st, the delegate rate is £40 for members and £45 for others. After September 1st, the rates are £45 and £50 respectively
