I have been asked by a customer to supply and plant a new plant for their hedge as there is a gap, they want the same type but I am not 100% sure what it is, does anyone know what this is? I think it might be an evergreen spindle but not sure. The current plants in the hedge are just over 2m High. Thanks for any help.

  • Looks like Euonymus japonicus.  You might have truoble finding it- lots of ornamental varieties grown but not the straight species so much.

  • Hi there,

Euonymous japonicus I think... the stem is definitely a giveaway . Theres a distinctive seration on the leaf too..

  •  Thanks guys, all the ones I have found are only available about a foot tall and as it is not that fast at growing I may have to ask the customer if I could get something that looks similar that is either available larger or is quicker growing.
