How well do you know your customers?

Last night I turned onto the England football match, not into football much but will watch England play.So, the commentator reels of a few names of people on the bench and zooms into them and there heis a customer who lives in the same street as me and whose grass I have been cutting for the past couple of yearsHe pops around to pay me every now and again and that was as much as I knew until that moment.I have a member of Aston Villa football club (never mind) on my books and a helicopter pilot who flies out to the oil rigs. He looks about 18 years of age, scary.Other than that just the average joe, working or retired, although I wonder if there are any that could lay claim to fame or have had interesting moments or careers in their lives but the opertunity to mention the subject never gets raised.Have any of you found out interesting facts about what are often unassuming customers?

    Haha, I had a client at the other end of the spectrum once, lovely lady, massive house, a fair few flash cars, Helipad and Chopper, yacht, boats, house in Monaco, I could go on and on.

    One day while I was cutting the formal lawns along drive at front of house, I saw a load of Vans and police turn up at the gates, turns out she was bankrupt and the bailiffs where just about to take everything she owned, I must admit I did feel sorry for her until I didn't get paid, you would never have known she was in so much trouble, not a care in the world ....

    One of my occasional clients was a member and song writer for one of the most famous and commercially successful 80's main stream UK synth pop bands, he was in their music videos which were constantly played on MTV, and you can still hear his songs every day on the radio, makes me smile when I see him walking across the lawn bringing me a cup of coffee while I am cutting the hedges, these days he takes great pride in the quality of the compost he makes lol
