We sell Praxys & Polax - effective selective herbicide sprays that control a number of weeds but re-seeding possible after only 4 weeks.
As always - the spray should be done when weeds are actively growing - this also means it is warm enough for the seed to germinate (8-10 degrees celsius or more)

+1 for praxis, which can also be bought as Mogul. We allow 4-6 weeks aftering seeding.
Others to consider are Cabdex and Interfix/Greenor, but these need 8w gap.
Depends really on the amount / type of weed. Try and inform the client, that NO selective herbicide will be 100% effective, so it's likely to need another weed control a couple of months after seeding (weather permitting) if they want it weed free.
