Probably £400.
I'd do it for cheaper if I could sell the cars hidden under there for scrap! 🤣
Ha, funny enough the thought had crossed my mind... "what actually is hidden under the brambles?.
Could be the lost ark of the covenant!🤣
I would apply the proviso that a brief inspection of the site is required before work actually commences, in case there is something unexpected beneath the blackberry bushes, also using the side panels of that building as a guide, if each segment is approximately 3 to 4 metres, and the area to be cleared extends to the end of the building, then the area is in fact considerably larger
I did say in the quote that the price was on the basis that there was nothing hiding in the brambles. A quick measure on Google Earth reckons that the length of two side panels on the barn is 40', so the 'estimated' area given to me is definitely a porky. The brambles need to be cleared to give access to the side of the barn.
Just another one of those jobs where someone was hoping for a £20 an hour crowd to turn up and finish in a few hours.
Those measurements certainly look odd........... is the 20 x 10 metres rather than feet I wonder? Wouldn't touch it myself............. the customer sounds like trouble.
Yes that "hourly rate" question from the potential client is a red flag to me. When it looks like a commercial type of premises. I would be concerned that I might have to wait a long time for payment. The photo may be giving a false sense of perspective, if the building is actually on the other side of a road behind the bushes, the area might indeed only be 20 x 10 foot
I agree with you Graham.
I'd agree with you there. Sounds like trouble. Let them call round a few more and then they will see the true cost of a job as big and hazardous as this . I'd avoid it now anyway .
whatever route you take someone will probably do the job regardless...... but my initial thoughts now are that it is probably now full of wildlife! maybe thats why it needs to be done by tuesday... before anymore birds check-in
