The last few months has seen (for us anyway) a huge surge in spam/virus email. Sometimes several hundred a day across our domain email accounts.
We don't use cloud based emails services (such as gmail.com, outlook.com, hotmail.com) so have always used desktop spam applications such as Avast or previously Kaspersky.
I now find I use my mobile device (iPad) as the primary means of accessing our email while on the move, but have yet to see any Apps designed to address Spam on these devices
Speaking to our ISP, they are suggesting Server / ISP side spam & email services at point of arrival. Sounds good, but the cost is "per email account / address" and is a recurring cost that would seem to mount up.
Can anyone share experiences or provide advice?

We use a Microsoft Exchange server which has built in spam filtering....
Costs £3.95 p/m per mailbox though....
Although Exchange does allow you to share information between accounts such as diaries, address books etc.
Hi Nick I think that is what they are effectively offering, in that we would have to upgrade each email account on our domains from a standard email account to an MSEX email account.
Agree it does give greater functionality with the ability to workgroup share, but the cost when mutliplied per account *12 for a year is potentially huge.
Other option is to host our own Exchange Server, but the SW costs and admin make it a non starter - I want to decrease my involvement, not increase it !!
Just felt I am missing something or a trick....
