Wear a hat, wear sun cream and use a gel neck gater to keep you cool.
I've got on of those UV sun hats, that looks stupid but helps, loads of water, loads of sun cream.
I've got a sliver van, still pretty hot in there! As a treat today I had my lunch with the air-con on. Something i would never normally do, but soo nice.
Working only until lunchtime, and in the shade, where possible. Small jobs. nothing too strenuous. Otherwise it's to be enjoyed as an unscheduled holiday. I will work 7 days per week when the conditions are right. But wouldn't work in nearly 30 degrees even for £150 per hour. Will catch up when the temperature is more reasonable. All customers are informed and happy to wait. Some people can probably stand it, but not me
Dont take chocolate biscuiits for a tea break .
put half a plastic bottle of water in the freezer overnight to allow for it expanding , it keeps cool all day .
most packed lunches i find a bit unappetising they get too warm even with a cool block , if its practical i will go to the shop and buy fresh but Billybop has best idea to only work until lunchtime , have had heatstroke in the past .
Loads of water, sun hat, sun cream, long sleeved t shirts help, especially when regularly soaked with a hose. We have informed all clients that if its over 30 we will come for minimum time and do urgent jobs only - most understand.
Its just another day for me I carry on like usual , I get more drink offered by clients all my cold drinks in the van are warm by dinner time awful to drink . I keep thinking I should wear a hat but don't get round to it, I put suncream on Monday not bothered rest of the week , I have a really good farmers or gardeners tan .
I'm pretty much like you, carry on, drink plenty water, stick my head under an outside tap every so often . Been mowing all day today. It's going to be hot whatever I'm doing so I might as well be getting the jobs done.
Forgot to mention, I use ear plugs instead of ear defenders when it hot hot hot.
