We had a similar problem with a Honda pro if I the same there's a pawl mechanism in the wheel mechanism , remove wheels and soak area in WD-40, should free up the pawl
And make a note of the orientation of the pawl and don't lose the wee spring behind it.
the ones i had trouble with had a free sliding pin in the wheel hub it might have worn and got stuck i think i replased it with a pease of 6inc nail it was the right diameter
This is normally caused by the drive axle seizing into bushes and not the ratchet drive system. Liberal oiling of the driven axle from underneath where it goes through the bushes at either side of mower usually sorts it. Good dose of 3 in 1 then leave overnight to soak in
Thanks guys, I looked on YouTube and yes the problem seems to be caused by the rear axle/ bushes. I'll have a go at it when I get time and let you know how I get on.
