Well I thought for that price its worth a bash just got the whole range for £420.00, with the 4ah batteries had to buy on line as my local dealers only had the blowers in. They told me that the range is getting a rebrand and update in April that is why this offer is on to clear the old stock.
Would be interesting to see what the new stuff is i.e. more updated EGO equipment with Honda branding? Karcher also share the EGO platform, but strangely use a 50v battery instead of 56v.
Where did you buy at Dave??
Just lawnmowers.co.uk for the blower and hedge cutter and had a 10% off code, and the strimmer brand new from ebay for £115.00.
My blower and hedge cutter arrived totay, not bad bits of kit, the batteries are heavier than I imagined but the blower has a lot of power in it and even more when you use the boost button so it just remains to see how long the batteries last in the field.
Hi Dave, have you had chance to use the blower yet, how long does the battery last and does it include a different nozzle (flat) attachment.
I also bought the hedge cutter kit, haven't had a chance to use it yet though.
Hi Chris, personally I was a bit disappointed with the blower, it’s ok moving dry materials off hard surfaces , but a bit gutless with wet leaves etc. The turbo button works well, but battery life is reduced to about 10mins. It comes with a large round nozzle as standard, I’m going to invest in a flat nozzle to try and get the speed up a bit !
I am impressed with the hedge cutter though, great for topiary, customers love it too as it’s so much quieter than the petrol gear.
Hi Sean, thanks for the update, i was hoping the battery would last longer But with all this wet weather we're having at the moment doesn't look like it would be up to the job.
I thought the blower would be something like the Ego LB300E Which looks to have decent run times, you can buy a flat nozzle for the Ego it's £5.99 dont know if it would fit the Honda though.
Here's a link to the Ego
Ego LB3000E
I'm going to buy an Ego multitoool with the hedge cutter attatchment soon and i could have done with another battery.
it only came witha normal round nozzle, as siad on full pelt you get just over 10 mins from it but at normal power about 30 mins, enough for general grass tidy on paths etc but on stubbon stuff it takes some moving but im not disapointed with it. I now need to order another strimmer tho as my brother left it at the side of my van and didnt tell me.
Reversed out and ran right over it, its now a 2 piece
